“Don’t try to be number 1; try to be the only one!” This means that instead of trying to be the best at something, we must strive to be unique. This is the maxim of wise parents who have raised many successful people in the world. What did the heroes of faith in the Bible and the disciples of the Early Church possess that enabled them to have victory instead of failure even in the greatest depths of weakness? They possessed a blessing of uniqueness that no one else possessed. Then how can we enjoy the blessing of uniqueness as we enjoy our lives today?
1. The start of enjoying the blessing of uniqueness
The first step to enjoying the blessing of uniqueness is Christ. Fanny Jane Crosby, who wrote many of the hymns sung by countless Christians, prayed to be able to see again. However, when she began to deeply realize the Gospel, she confessed that she didn’t need to see again. She saw something more precious than gaining back her sight. And she confessed that she did not need anything else because Christ was with her. When she realized this truth, the blessing of uniqueness began in her and no one could stand in her path.
2. The method of uniqueness
When children of God simply think within the Gospel, that thought itself becomes prayer. When large problems or incidents take place, we tend to turn to prayer, which we don’t usually give. This is not prayer; in fact, it is nothing more than a groan of distress. When we encounter a problem in the midst of our prayer of uniqueness, we can discover the answer through Christ, who is solution to all our problems. Essentially, we will realize that the problem itself is an answer. Restore the prayer of uniqueness that can make you happy today with only Christ.
3. Answer of uniqueness
If we are able to be happy through the prayer with the covenant of uniqueness, we can enjoy the blessing and authority found within Christ. It is at this point that we can discover evangelism of uniqueness. God told us to make disciples of all nations. This means that there are people prepared to become disciples all around us. We must not be deceived by problems and what we can see, and instead, discover and enjoy the covenant of uniqueness.
- Write down the prayer topics with which you can enjoy uniqueness. Meditate upon the image of yourself enjoying the answers of uniqueness within the Word.
