Exodus 40:34~38 Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. Moses could not enter the Tent of Meeting because the cloud had settled upon it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle (34~35)

No matter how hard he tries, man can never change his fate and destiny. He cannot stop the ever-worsening disasters from approaching. Even if he tries to empty and deny himself with his own effort and good deeds, he can never resolve the problems of life. God sent Christ in order to resolve these problems. Jesus came as the Christ to forgive all sins, to save man from disasters and calamities and to destroy the devil’s work. We can receive salvation only when we put our faith in this. Because no man can do this, because no action of man can resolve these problems, God tells us to simply believe. The moment we receive salvation, we must believe that the light of the glory of the Lord has come upon us.
1. The light of the glory of the Lord, which sets us free from our past
God desired the Israelites to completely come out from their past as slaves in Egypt and to enter into the light of the glory of the Lord. God made it so that the spiritual state of darkness, formlessness and emptiness in Genesis 1:2 can change by the light of Christ. God tells us, “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you,” (Isaiah 60:1~2). Moreover, God tells us that He has called us to declare the light (1 Peter 2:9). We need the resolution of faith in order to come out from our past and to taste the light of the glory of the Lord. We must realize that we are no longer slaves in Egypt. Finally, our lives will be the joy and glory to God. This is because we are God’s children.
2. When we believe
While they were experiencing the ten plagues in Egypt, when they were faced with the Red Sea as well as difficulties and problems during the 40 years in the wilderness, the people of Israel experienced the works of God when they believed. When they believed, they experienced the blessing of the three feasts; on every path they took, following after the Ark of the Covenant in faith, they experienced special guidance and protection. The faith we have today leads to the answers in the future. We must put our faith in the fact that the blood of Jesus Christ completely resolved the problem of our sins. All we need is to count on the fact that God is with us, leads us and protects us daily. When we place our hope in heaven and believe that the heavenly background is our background, God’s Word will be fulfilled and the working of the Holy Spirit will arise in every part of our lives.
