Joshua 1:1~9 No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. (5)

How happy would we be if we were to pray all day holding to the Word of God? The time of meditating upon the Word of God even for a short period of time will be the greatest time for us. After receiving the Word, we only need to think a little, ‘Why did God give me this Word?’ ‘What is the meaning behind this Word?’ When we do important works, we just need to remember the Word and pray even for a brief moment. In certain cases we can confirm the fact that answers do come when we set an appointed period of time and pray about an important prayer topic. Surely the evidence will come because the Word is living. If we get a taste of this, evangelism, too, will become easy. This is the key to living the life of the evangelist.
1. Those who have seen
Joshua is someone who witnessed God being with Moses. Nothing could overcome God who was with Moses. Having faith in the power of God who was with Moses, Joshua held on to God’s Word to be courageous. Joshua was someone who had seen the evidence of a life of thinking and praying. If we grab hold of God’s Word just as Joshua did, we will come to see what we must do in our daily schedule and open our eyes to see people who have problems. If we see the evidence of God in our lives, we will rise above the problems at church, problems in the field as well as financial problems and stand as people who relay the power of God who is with us to others.
2. Those who have
Not only did Joshua witness the power of God, he also possessed it. When he was entering the land of Canaan, he experienced the answers of the Jordan River parting and the Jericho Wall collapsing. Because Joshua witnessed the miracles by which God led the Israelites out of Egypt, he maintained the same faith that he had then. The sun and the moon stood still on the path where Joshua set out with faith and he received the answer of conquering the land of Canaan.
3. Those who relay
When Joshua was about to enter the land of Canaan, God commanded him, “Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged. Be courageous.” This is because there is something that we must absolutely fight against. That is why God is telling us not to be taken aback and not to be shaken when we go out into the world and not to be terrified of Satan’s attack. We just need to hold on to the Word of God that no one will be able to stand up against us all the days of our lives and discard all our unbelief. Then, we will see the answer of all things being revived on the path that we take because of the Gospel.
