What is the greatest blessing of all blessings God has given to us? Just as the Israelites were set free from slavery the day the blood of the lamb was applied, we crossed over from death to life because of Jesus Christ (John 5:24), and we were set free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2). Although our lives have received blessings, it is a reality that we are experiencing many problems and conflicts like the Israelite people who were going down the path of the wilderness. God is telling the Israelites to gain strength. How can they gain strength?
1. Centered on the tabernacle
What was commanded by God with great importance to the Israelites who were going down the path of the wilderness was making the tabernacle. This holds the meaning of the concrete method of gaining the strength that God gives. The tabernacle is the Holy Place in which God is present, and it is the greatest mystery by which people can be with God in the wilderness. After the incident of the cross of Jesus, we have no need to build a tabernacle. The promised Holy Spirit came upon the people of God who received salvation, and this is because we gained the blessing of becoming the temple. If the Holy Spirit is with us, God’s kingdom comes upon every place to which we go, the forces of darkness are bound, and God promises to send the Lord’s angels ahead of us. In order to gain today’s strength that God gives, we must live centered on today’s Word, today’s prayer and today’s evangelism that enjoys the presence of God.
2. The priest’s breastpiece with the precious jewels
12 precious jewels were mounted on the breastpiece of the garments the priests wore according to the names of the tribes of the Israel. This holds the meaning that all the servants of the Lord should pray for the believers 24 hours a day. There is something we should know from within this. It is that God protects the children of God who have received salvation like precious gems. We are precious jewels that sparkle in the Lord’s hands. In addition, we must know the reason why we have been called as the priest of God. Also, we must remember what the clothes we are wearing are all about. When we know who we are, our fields in which we live centered upon the tabernacle come to life. Furthermore, the accurate time schedule of answers comes to those who know their status and authority. We can even restore the blessing of the church in which the precious jewels of God gather together.
