What God wants to do through me
Ephesians 2:1~10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (10)
Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #532 Only a Step to Jesus! (#323 in previous version)
Many people ask the following question: “I have so many hardships. Why am I unable to receive answers like the answers in the Bible? Why do I continue to shake and fail?” However, people who receive prayer answers do not pose questions like these. Joseph went as a slave but there were no problems as God was with him. Fanny Crosby said it was okay even though she could not see because she had Christ. Paul said he had nothing more to boast than his greatest weaknesses because he knew Christ. In this way, several important answers come to those who have Christ.
1. Three answers given to those who confess Christ (Matthew 16:13~20)
The blessing of being a church built upon a rock is given to those who confess Jesus as Christ. For these people, no matter what problem comes, they enjoy the blessing that does not shake, like a rock. In addition, the gates of Hades cannot overcome them and it is said that the keys of the kingdom of heaven have been given to them. Our prayer in which we have the keys of the kingdom of heaven is absolutely answered. At this time, important thoughts inside of prayer begin to be answered.
2. The blessing inside Jesus Christ
What on earth happens when we receive salvation? Our identity changes. Although we are the same person in flesh, we become the temple that God dwells in because the Holy Spirit enters us the moment we believe in God. Starting from this moment, we receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit and God gives us the strength to win over the world through the filling of the Holy Spirit. According to our identity, there is a tremendous authority that is revealed. Every place you go, the forces of darkness are broken. God mobilizes His angels to our businesses, workplaces and schools, and fulfills His plan. Also, disciples have been prepared. If we believe that Christ is with us, we gain everything.
3. The blessing of evangelism
God has given the blessing of evangelism to save the world. No matter how renowned a person may be, if he does not know the Gospel, he is affiliated with the devil. Consequently, as problems come and people are unable to do as their heart pleases, they engage in idol worship. Humankind must serve God but they serve other things, which is what we call idol worship. The works of the demons absolutely arise behind idol worship. In addition, they end up being afflicted by the diseases of their heart and flesh. Then, one day, they suddenly die and go to hell, and they end up relaying spiritual problems to their descendents. Evangelism is saving people who have fallen into this.
- We are the ones who have been created in Christ Jesus for God’s good purpose. Try meditating on what God wants to do through you in your field.
