Exodus 37:25~29 They made the altar of incense out of acacia wood. It was square, a cubit long and a cubit wide and two cubits high – its horns of one piece with it (25)

Why must we emphasize the Gospel? How do you understand the statement that it will not work out if not by the Gospel? No matter how much you work, study, or succeed, your life will, one day, return to the past, and you cannot defy the spiritual flow. Only upon realization of the Gospel, the book that gives the realistic solution is the Bible. The Bible repeats the important Word. God bound Israel to the wilderness for 40 years, until they realized what was significant. You must realize the core of the Bible, the Gospel.
1. Horns (verse 25)
God had them put the blood of the lamb on the horns and saved those who grabbed those horns (Leviticus 9:9). Isaac faced death, but was spared by the grace of a ram dying in his stead. The horns and ram in the Scripture refer to Christ. To realize the Gospel properly means that the blessing of salvation has become mine. With no exceptions if anybody or any era loses hold of the Gospel, disasters will befall them; however, if you know the Gospel accurately, you will be freed of your past and your eyes will open to new things. In the wilderness, they come to understand the blessings of the three feasts, the tabernacle and the Ark of the Covenant. This is when you can stand as a witness like Joshua and Caleb.
2. Rings (verse 27)
God commanded them to make rings to place the poles. This signifies carrying out the Word and grace that you have received out into the field. It does not simply end with hearing, but application of the Word in the field when you are alone or working, and living by that strength. Sunday’s pulpit and today’s daily meditation must be realistically relayed to your field – studies, business, relationships, finances, descendants.
3. Incense (verse 29)
If you know the spiritual truth properly, you can enter into a very deep prayer. Even now, the prayers of God’s people, along with incense, are being taken up to the throne of God (Revelations 8:3~5). To believers and unbelievers alike, Christ is fragrant incense (1 Corinthians 2:15). Knowing the spiritual mystery becomes the start of physical healing (3 John 1:2). Instead of feeling discouraged or suspicious of the conflicts and problems before you, take them as opportunities to experience God’s power.
- God, give me true strength to save the field as I hold on to the horn of salvation! Raise me up as the evangelist who spreads the fragrance of Christ!
