Make the lampstand yours
Exodus 37:17~24 They made the lampstand of pure gold. They hammered out its base and shaft, and made its flowerlike cups, buds and blossoms of one piece with them. (17)
Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #337 I Must Tell Jesus All of my Trials (#363 in previous version)
One of the greatest mistakes a child of God can make is entering the world without clearly knowing the fullness of God’s power. As a result, we fail to overcome the trials and conflicts we face and fall over frequently. Most believers do not truly believe in the power of God. How can I properly believe and enjoy God’s power in my life?
1. Make the tabernacle.
The tabernacle in its entirety explains Christ. The holy place is Christ’s body, the sanctuary is Christ’s essence, the bread is Christ’s life, the burnt offering is Christ’s forgiveness of sins, and the lampstand is Christ’s light. Hence, when we have the complete Gospel, God’s amazing works will begin in our lives. If we do not arm ourselves with the complete Gospel, we will be attacked by Satan full-on. Satan pursues the empty spots that have not been covered by the Gospel and attacks heavily. But the moment we grasp and enjoy the complete Gospel, all the forces of darkness will collapse.
2. Gather around the tabernacle.
At the very center of the tabernacle is a place for the Ark of the Covenant. The Ark of the Covenant symbolizes the Word of the living God. Every time we accurately take hold of God’s Word, we can experience God’s power. Simply listening attentively to and grasping the message on Sundays will result in wondrous works of healing. However, most people do not care to listen to the Word of God. If a child of God cannot grasp the Word and experience God’s power, he might grow more powerless than an unbeliever who has fallen into the incorrect spiritual experiences. For this reason, the world is becoming more difficult. We must change this.
3. Make the lampstand.
The lampstand refers to experiencing the Holy Spirit. Whenever we pray to God for the filling of the Holy Spirit, He reveals His power. Through three types of prayers we can realistically enjoy the experience of the Holy Spirit. We must pray for the filling of the Holy Spirit during scheduled prayer. Through continuous prayer, we can enjoy the filling of the Holy Spirit in the field. We can enjoy the filling of the Holy Spirit through deep prayer within problems, hardships and important works. If we possess true courage of faith and believe in God’s power, we will see the work of all things being healed.
-The lampstands are related to prayer. Hold to today’s Word and do not let go of the prayer of concentrating on God. Enjoy scheduled prayer, continuous prayer in the field, and deep prayer before significant works, and gain the strength of prayer.
