The world is dying of poverty
Acts 11:19~30 One of them, named Agabus, stood up and through the Spirit predicted that a severe famine would spread over the entire Roman world (This happened during the reign of Claudius.) (28)

Today, among the world’s population of 6.8 billion over half is suffering from poverty, and 1 billion is afflicted by strict poverty where they have less than one dollar a day. In addition, every year, over 8 million people are dying of poverty. The number of people in the world who die of poverty-related causes number 24,000 every day. Now, the entire world is facing serious hardships because of poverty. Looking at this world field, there are many areas to think about.
1. The world seen from the field of evangelism
Although countries like Thailand, the Philippines, Brazil and Peru are developed to a certain extent, if you see their hidden fields, you will know they are suffering because of poverty to the point that it is astonishing. While the big cities of many countries are fancy, the other areas are not so. It is so dangerous that it is difficult to take a stroll alone, people are poor, and there is a lot of drugs and crime. Third world countries are even more severe, government benefits are scarce, people are living in tents built on the side of streets, and thousands of children are lost on the streets. In addition, there are a tremendous number of displaced peoples wandering in the world without a nation state. Currently, in the world, these kinds of works are realistically arising.
2. The world that is waiting for the Gospel
Nothing can block the suffering and curses that arise on to humankind. The more people struggle to solve these problems, things becoming increasingly difficult, like a person who has fallen into a swamp. The more a nation or individual falls into poverty or diseases, they are worshiping idols without choice, fallen into idolatry or religions. The result is that mental disorders and diseases have no choice but to come, and the gap between the rich and poor has no choice but to widen greatly. Like this, what is most needed for these people who are placed in an imminent situation is only the Gospel.
3. Today’s method of missions
In order to solve the problem of poverty, many religious organizations or societal organizations have come to occupy the field by plowing in through education, medical services, social work or NGOs. Although the churches have followed in their footsteps, it is a situation where they do not have strength and the Gospel is also weak. In this way, the global fields of evangelism and missions are in a state of devastation. If businesspeople and church lay leaders who truly have the Gospel open the correct eyes regarding the field, raise gifted individuals who have interest in this area and possess the Gospel, and plow into the fields of the world with them, tremendous doors will open.
- Christ is the solution to all problems, and must be made known in all the world. In order to solve the world dying of poverty, God has called me and raised me as a witness.
