The Bible speaks often about meditation. The mystery to free yourself from your frustrating situations, problems and conflicts, is meditating on the Word. If you have a time of holding on to the Word and meditating, you will be aware of your reality and gain an answer regarding your problems and worries. Prayer is the mystery to enjoying the true taste of meditation. As in today’s passage, even during awful crises and hardships, the Early Church gained great strength through prayer within the Word, and experienced the answer of saving the age. Then how must I begin today’s prayer?
1. Prayer to save myself
Oftentimes we complain about difficult circumstances. But when Joseph was a slave, he did not fall into despair; rather, he revived himself every day. During Samuel’s time, the church was in a hard place, yet he revived himself daily instead of falling into those problems. While David was still a shepherd boy, he prayed to revive himself, and he managed his ministry with the answer of the filling of the Holy Spirit. In the face of a crisis of destruction, Isaiah prayed the prayer of enjoying the Gospel, and Paul requested to Timothy the prayer to save himself. You must gain the strength to save yourself through prayer every day and when doing church work or daily tasks, you must always remember the prayer of saving yourself.
2. Prayer to save each day
It is crucial to save and revive your day, every day. The very first thing Paul did in Macedonia was enjoy the blessing of prayer. Enjoying the blessing of prayer in your field and family is the start of reviving each day. Also, being alert and praying in all the fields you enter into within your daily schedule is continuous prayer. You must devote yourself to praying within the Holy Spirit for all the people you meet and the locations of meeting. By chance, if you have a spiritual problem or physical illness, you must begin deep prayer. If you begin each day with prayer and receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit, all things will be revived.
3. Prayer for the evangelism movement
Prayer for the evangelism movement will undoubtedly take place if the prayer to save yourself and each day begins. Ultimately you will come to know the important result, and as a result of faith, you will be used for the work of salvation.
