The strength to change the age
Acts 19:21 After all this had happened, Paul decided to go to Jerusalem, passing through Macedonia and Achaia. “After I have been there,” he said, “I must visit Rome also.”
♬ Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #364 Sweet Hour of Prayer (#482 in previous version)
God gave us the Gospel and called us as the main figures of transforming the age. To change the age, we need the strength to change ourselves and the field. God called those with the Gospel in each age and granted them victory in spiritual warfare. Now is the age of cultural warfare. The culture of science, academia, arts, and the like have degraded down to the culture of idolatry. We must conquer the culture with the Gospel. It is a time in which we need the spiritual eyes to see this truth.
1. Power of prayer
Scheduled prayer is the time that saves the entire world and continuous prayer saves the field. If you can truly see the age with the eyes of the Gospel, you will understand the necessity of scheduled and continuous prayers. When we start praying in the Gospel, the answer to our lives and the answer to save the world will be given to us. Moreover, we will discover our talent and realize true success. You must first uncover and enjoy this answer.
2. World evangelization
We must challenge ourselves for world evangelization through the culture. World evangelization is not difficult. If we enjoy God being with us, the answer of world evangelization will come. We cannot do it with our own strength; however, because God is with us, world evangelization has no choice but to be fulfilled. Remnants. are rising as the main figures of the culture everywhere. Therefore, if you realize the vitality of world evangelization through the culture and begin praying in the Gospel, God will fulfill His works.
3. Eyes to see the future
You must be able to see the future to change the age. When Joseph was still a slave, he saw the future of becoming governor and ultimately transformed Egypt. David, when he was still a shepherd, saw the future of becoming the king and changed Israel. Just like Joseph and David saw the future without losing heart, when they were a slave and a shepherd, we must enjoy this answer in the face of the most difficult reality and problems. This is when we will receive the answer of uniqueness and stand as the models of world evangelization through the culture.
- What am I like presently? Just like the reality of being a slave or a shepherd, does it seem like nothing is taking place and do you feel small? Enjoy the Gospel, uncover the mystery of prayer, and seek out the future God has prepared from within this.
