After the exodus, when the Israelites headed out towards Canaan, God commanded them not to worry about anything. This means, not only will worrisome things arise, we must also believe that God is with us as the Almighty One who can solve that very problem. In this way, the futures of those with the Gospel are in the hands of God. In today’s passage, God says, “Today, make the Tent of Meeting in the field of life!” Making a Tent of Meeting through which you can reform your faith, worship and answers, is a vital channel by which a child of God can gain the strength that worldly people do not know of.
1. Reformation of faith
With no need to fear, calculate or look at others, a child of God must have faith. These may be words that lack backbone to worldly people. However, there is a mystery that is incomprehensible to the world hidden within the faith of believing in God. Reformation is renewing the faith we have come to possess, and it is crucial for this kind of reformation to arise every day in the field. When true reformation of faith takes place, you can transform all things into blessings. You can even change malicious enemies and unbelievers into blessings, as well. The Bible says that God considered Abraham righteous because he believed (James 2:23). When he believed, God sent an angel before Moses, and when Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego gave their confession of faith, God performed the miracle that transcended science.
2. Reformation of worship, reformation of answers
The worship we give together at church is of utmost importance. If this blessing of worship is the blessing of the tabernacle, taking what we have out into the field is the blessing of the Tent of Meeting. Without having to make it known, you can take your personal blessing of the Tent of Meeting into the field. But many Christians are failing in this aspect. Rather than segregating your church life and societal life, you can live a life of the Gospel, for the Gospel, and founded on the Gospel, wherever you are, whatever you do. After Israel restored the blessing of the Tent of Meeting in the field, answers were given to them. If we restore prayer, the answers given to us will also be restored. Just like meeting a friend, God has given us the status of being able to experience and enjoy God’s presence. To enjoy the blessing of the Tent of Meeting in the field, there is a need to examine your life and reasonable attitudes.
