Remnants live inside a world in which the reality is formidable, so we must be strong inside the grace that is in Christ Jesus. We must not be afraid, nor must we look down upon the world. Inside this reality, we must first and foremost see the grace that exists inside Jesus Christ. Then how must we view today and begin?
1. The culture of the world
The culture and the world are big influences for us. Celebrities are becoming idols for the youth. Music also makes a large contribution to the culture, which influences us as well. Not only are the addictive nature of our physical and mental aspects affected, but the spiritual aspect is greatly impacted, too. Computer games, the Internet, sexual immorality, alcohol and drugs are clearly influencing the younger generation. Also, sexually immorality is another influence that is indirectly displayed by television commercials and movies. This is precisely the present field that our children and we live in. Therefore, we must truly be strong inside the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2. Temptations of ideologies of this age
Most of the ideologies around us are either one extreme or the other. These days, certain aspects of our ideology cause disaster and crisis, to the point where we are afraid to send our children to school. Our children are greatly influenced by the extremes of counter ideologies of communism and capitalism, as well as mainstream culture, labor unions, and activities of civic groups. We must accurately know the origin of each of these ideologies in order to teach them Gospel-centered values and worldviews. Hence, we must pray for leaders and disciples of this age who absolutely possess the Gospel worldview to arise.
3. Remnants who will save the age
Remnants. must become witnesses who are strong inside the grace of God to the point where others realize the Gospel simply by looking at them. We must receive the blessings of the spiritual soldier, farmer, and athlete. As the world is not a petty thing, we must obtain insight into all things. We must prioritize in our lives and not lose hold of the message that we listen to, the spiritual strength gained from prayer, and health that is achieved through exercise.
- How am I receiving and enjoying the grace of God? Try to reflect upon yourself and your today before God. Challenge to begin a new start with faith.
