An evangelist’s resolution
Acts 18:18~23 Paul stayed on in Corinth for some time. Then he left the brothers and sailed for Syria, accompanied by Priscilla and Aquila. Before he sailed, he had his hair cut off at Cenchrea because of a vow he had taken. (18)

Although a child of God may not have ability to put things into practice and faces tough circumstances, he can make a resolution of faith. When we make a resolution, we gain strength and when we are weak, God gives us new strength. Due to the resolutions made by Abraham and the seven Remnants., God changed the course of history. When Paul cut his hair in Cenchrea, it was symbolic of his promise to be faithful to God. What kind of resolution do we need to make today?
1. A resolution that produces great answers
Moses’ resolution was the fulfillment of the Gospel that took place hundreds of years later. Samuel and David made a resolution regarding the thing that many other leaders missed. The resolution made by people of faith in Babylon was made almost 800 years after Moses. The Early Church made its resolution in the statement, “You are the Christ, the son of the living God.” If we make a resolution for the Gospel, God will give us great answers.
2. Paul’s resolution regarding evangelism
If you look at Paul’s evangelical journey in Acts, he spent a great amount of time living for the Gospel. By the time he is mentioned in Acts 18:23~19:1, Paul had walked approximately 2,400 kilometers while evangelizing. The text mentions that when Paul was at Cenchrea, he was headed for Ephesus and Asia Minor, locations that he had resolved to evangelize. Like Paul’s small resolution, God is pleased with resolutions to evangelize because it brings about God’s great works and gives Him the glory. Raising workers and participating in the Remnant movement is for the purpose of raising disciples who evangelize. By raising evangelists, we are saving the dying field, which in turn is connected to the evangelism movements to save the region, the nation, and the world.
3. Our resolution for the 21st century
If you see the problems of today’s society correctly, you will understand why a resolution regarding the Remnant movement and the RUTC. is needed. If we are to save the region through the church, workers must make a resolution. If all evangelists achieve oneness for the sake of world evangelization, we will see answers from God that change the world. The small resolution that we make today as a result of the message can become a stepping stone for a new start to world evangelization. This is something we must do in the 21st century.
-God has called me as an evangelist to save this age. What is my resolution today regarding evangelism? Make a resolution to live a life of an evangelist that brings God joy.
