Small evangelism - great fruits
Acts 17:16~34 When they heard about the resurrection of the dead, some of them sneered, but others said, “ We want to hear you again on this subject.” At that, Paul left the Council. A few men became followers of Paul and believed. Among them was Dionysius, a member of the Areopagus, also a woman named Damaris, and a number of others. (32~34)

Athens is the region in which Paul’s evangelism ministry had the least number of fruits. Although the least in number, there were big fruits. The small things that we do such as gathering together and praying for evangelism are precious in God’s eyes, and He grants great fruits. If you think, “How will I live the life of an evangelist today?” as you start your day, this thought will be connected to big answers.
1. Very small things for the sake of evangelism
Joseph did not do anything big but simply worked diligently in Potiphar’s household, and God made Joseph the governor. Moses who held on to the covenant of the sacrificial offering had nothing but a staff, but works of God arose wherever he went. Samuel and David had the covenant of Immanuel, and people lived wherever they went. Although the Prophet Isaiah died after he relayed the message, there were great fruits due to the work of God. Paul entrusted the Gospel to a few committed people, and the work of conquering Rome arose thereafter.
2. The small thing in Athens
There is a reason to small things yielding big fruits. Athens is the capital of Greece. The word Athens originates from the Greek Goddess Athena. There were many idols in the region. Platonism, Epicureanism, and Stoicism were flourishing. It may seem small that they evangelized in that area, but Paul and the evangelism team evangelized with a meaningful reason.
3. Small evangelism that turned into great results
They testified that Jesus resurrected as evidence that He is the Christ and although the Creator God is unseen to our eyes, we are all one lineage in Christ. As a result, they had small fruits of evangelism. Dionysius and a woman named Damaris received the Gospel. In the future, a big church was formed in this place, and Dionysius was an important supervisor. Regardless of the small size of the ministry, the evangelism movement turns up as big fruits. Fruits may seem small when you proclaim the Gospel in the countryside or difficult fields, but the fruits are never small.
-God opens the doors of evangelism. The small evangelism that I put into action is the beginning of world evangelization. What is my evangelism plan for today? Set an evangelism plan and put into action any small plan.
