Israel Which Stood before the Red Sea
Exodus 14:1~14 │For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall
never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be
silent.(14)
The Egyptian army followed the Israelites who encountered
the Red Sea. Many people worried, but there was only
one way to go. Because it was God’s will to enter Canaan,
they had to cross the Red Sea. However, there were those
who had forgotten about God’s Word, those who only listened
to others’ words, and those like Moses who held onto the
sure Word and prayed. What kind of faith must you possess
while reading about the Israelites who stood in front of the
Red Sea?
1. Do Not Be Deceived When Faced with Reality
Look at God’s plan and challenge toward the absolute
impossibility. Although you cannot cross the Red Sea, it is
absolutely possible. Because God will work, do not be
deceived by reality. Goda will surely fulfill His Word and reveal
His glory.
2. God Will Do It and If It’s God’s Will, Take up the Challenge
This does not mean to wait indefinitely. Witnessing how God
does His work is waiting for what you must enjoy. Enjoy the
mystery of salvation that God fulfills, the mystery of breaking
down the enemy, and God fighting for you as you wait. Then, if
it is surely God’s will, take up the challenge. God’s will and plan
will undoubtedly be fulfilled.
At last, the Israelites crossed the Red Sea. They knew that it
wasn’t through their own strength, but by God’s infinite
power. Crossing the Red Sea wasn’t something the Israelites
could do, they understood that only God could carry out that
work for them. Because God accomplished His works, all the
glory can be returned to Him.
