There was a female disciple by the name of Tabitha in Joppa. She died of an illness after doing many good deeds and charitable works. After she died, the disciples in that region called Peter to discuss the matter with him. Peter prayed for her and Tabitha returned back to life. Though there were many female followers of Jesus, Tabitha alone is known as the female disciple. What were the answers that the female disciple Tabitha received?
1. Greatest answer
Tabitha was a female disciple who carried out the Gospel movement that saves lives. Even if the Gospel movement that you carry out is small or even if you take part in it unknowingly, great answers will follow. In the genealogy of Jesus, there are five female figures. There was Tamar who even used deceptive means to carry on the life of the Gospel, the prostitute Rahab who hid Israelite spies, Ruth who followed her mother-in-law to Israel, Bathsheba who was the wife of Uriah, and Mary who was with child through the Holy Spirit. Although they unknowingly received this blessing, it was in close connection with the covenant of the Gospel of life. The Gospel movement is an eternal blessing.
2. Greatest door for missions
The greatest door for missions is opened to those who carry out the Gospel movement. When the Jews persecuted the Gospel movement and the Roman government tried to block the Gospel from being proclaimed, Mark opened his home to begin the Gospel movement. As a result, eternal answers were received. Lydia, who received the Gospel through Paul, also offered her home to be used by Paul’s team in order to begin the evangelism movement. Phoebe who was the guardian of Paul, Priscilla who risked her life, and Gaius were all aware of this blessing and helped the evangelist all throughout their lives, ultimately opening the door to Rome evangelization.
3. Missions entrepreneurship
The missions entrepreneurship is established when we realize that the Gospel movement is the greatest answer and the door to missions, and then rise to the challenge. Tabitha made inner and outer garments for the many widows in Joppa. Her missions entrepreneurship and devotion became a great door to preach the Gospel in Joppa. The missions entrepreneurship consists of two things: finances and the next generation. Lydia, who was a dealer in purple cloth, made a missions entrepreneurship that plowed into the upper class. Also, God entrusted Hannah with Samuel, a heritage and entrepreneurship to save all of Israel.
