As you live your walk of faith, there may be times when you question three things. “Must I live a walk of faith?” “Why must I believe in Jesus Christ when there are so many religions out there?” And lastly, “Do answers come when I pray?” There is an accurate spiritual fact that you must be aware of. Salvation is the absolute sovereignty of God. For the sake of God’s own name, He leads us to the path of righteousness. My salvation is contained within His complete plan. What is the covenant that I must discover from the Word today?
1. God’s absolute sovereignty
God’s plan for my entire life is complete. God’s absolute sovereignty for His children holds true for the entirety of their lives. We must trust in God and rely on Him regarding our entire lives. The life of a Christian is defined by how we live by grace within the power of God, not by our own strength or wisdom. Joseph, Moses, Samuel, and David all experienced the absolute sovereignty of God and became victors with true power within the answer to prayer.
2. Through suffering
Joseph was not enslaved but was taken to Egypt in order to testify of the Gospel there. Moses was not an adoptee; he was within the absolute sovereignty of God to break down the darkness in Egypt. Although it may have seemed like David was going through suffering, it was the absolute time schedule of God in preparing him to become the greatest king. Martin Luther was perceived as a runaway and an apostate, but he was obedient to the absolute sovereignty of God in raising the Protestant religion through faith in the Gospel. Even now, God carries out His absolute sovereignty through the evangelists and nobody can block it.
3. Through evangelism
Just because you live your own life well does not necessarily mean you will be victorious. When the disasters and storms of this age arise, no one is guaranteed their safety. The mystery to block the disasters of this age is within evangelism. This is the reason why God’s absolute sovereignty works through the evangelists. The crisis that approaches those who know the mystery of evangelism and missions is within God’s plan. God will fulfill His absolute sovereignty through us who resolve to carry out His work of evangelism.
