Unfortunately, many people in the world who have a lot wander within conflicts because of what they have and those who do not wander because of what they don’t have. People even make extreme choices when they face problems and personal limitations without knowing who they are and why they live. That is why God tells us to firmly possess the identity of an evangelist who will share the Gospel to this world. What is the identity a child of God must enjoy and how must we receive training in this?

1. The restoration of the identity of the people of the world

The people of the world invest their time and money in order to find their identity through knowledge quests, meditation movements, energychi movements and unhealthy spiritual experiences. However, humankind who is separated from God cannot find their identity no matter what the effort. Jesus Christ alone is the unique answer to save those who are trying to find themselves through the religious life that is devoid of the Gospel and through various efforts. You must have assurance and share that Jesus is the only way, truth and life, and the unique solution to meet God.

2. The restoration of our identity as recorded in the Bible

The disciples did not know who they were and what they must do, but they met with Jesus and restored their identity as evangelists and as fishers of men. In addition, Paul, who restored his identity, enjoyed the important blessing of evangelism that God had prepared for the Gentiles. Although the Early Church in the Scripture reading was in the midst of all kinds of persecutions and oppression, they received the filling of the Holy Spirit and were even more assured of their identity as the ones who had experienced the death and resurrection of Jesus. With firm faith in this, they even enjoyed the blessing of martyrdom.

3. Prayer training

The most important identity training for us who have the Gospel is the enjoyment of our prayer schedule. The believers of the Early Church knew who they were and found the prayer that matched their identity. At that time, the promised answer of the Pentecost came upon them. When we hold on to the promise and pray, God will grant us the answer of the filling of the Holy Spirit to transcend our powerlessness and limitations. The child of God who restores the proper sense of identity and enjoys the mystery of prayer can experience the works of evangelism wherever he goes.
