Reason for the Word and
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
♬ Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #546 Standing on the Promises (#399 in previous version)
Our forefather of faith Abraham received the promise that he will be a blessing, but he always had unbelief when he looked at his surroundings. Moses wanted to fulfill God’s will on his own, but eventually failed. However, both Abraham and Moses had an experience that transformed them in a single moment. Abraham let go of his unbelief and built an altar beneath the trees of Mamre at Hebron; at that moment, the answer of the fulfillment of God’s promise began. After Moses confirmed the existence of God on Mount Horeb, God’s power began to be revealed through his life. When will the deep unbelief and worries inside of us depart from within us?
1. Reason for the Word and prayer
Even though we are the saved people of blessings, we become distant from God’s answers due to our hardened thoughts and nature. The time in which these hardened thoughts that are fixed in us change is the time of the Word and prayer. If we come to discover happiness when we hold on to the Word and pray, we can come out of problems, failure, and diseases. The Word of God is powerful and has the power to transform what has been wrongly imprinted in us.Hebrews 4:12 Realistically enjoying this power, surpassing our limitations, and enjoying Immanuel is prayer.
2. The Word and special problems
If you have a special problem, a great disease, or symptoms of depression that do not go away, then you must meditate all the more deeply on God’s Word. There is a way for your problems to become blessings and illnesses to become reasons to praise God. Acknowledge that all things are in the hands of God and experience the filling of the Holy Spirit within prayer.
3. The Word and great hardship
Although Joseph went through great difficulties in his family, he discovered God’s Word through his dreams and became a person who saved the age. David, who was a shepherd, received the promise that he will become king, but he went through hard and painful times as he fled for his life. However, he did not lose hold of God’s promise but instead became a king who was most loved by God. If you have a great hardship, you must hold on to the covenant of the Word and think of it as an opportunity to gain the answer to save your family line and the age.
