The people of faith in the Bible were people who realistically experienced and enjoyed answers to prayer. Even the disciples of the Early Church who experienced great hardships were able to seek out and enjoy this grace. You can also find this answer and make it your own.
1. What to seek first
Although he left his country, his people, and his father’s household according to God’s Word, Abraham continued to have problems. Abraham built an altar beneath the trees of Mamre at Hebron, made a resolution, and sent away his nephew Lot. At that time, the true covenant journey of Abraham, the forefather of faith, began. There was no hope for Moses who was 80 years old, but after he met with God on Mount Horeb, he changed from being a man on the run to a leader. Elijah was exhausted and he fell under a broom tree and called out to the Lord. There, God met with him. Although Elijah thought everything was over, that was God’s beginning. Inside your time schedule, there is something you must seek first just like the people of faith. Experiencing the Lord on your Mount Horeb and under your broom tree is the start.
2. What you must always seek
There is something a child of God must experience and seek every day. It is continually possessing the strength of prayer. Joseph had the strength of prayer to overcome crises and problems and Daniel considered receiving this strength at scheduled times as the most important priority. Also, the greatest guidance of the Holy Spirit that the Early Church received was devoting themselves constantly in prayer. Our fight is not against flesh and blood.Ephesians 6:12 That is why we should always seek to obey the Word of the Lord to “Pray continually” in each of our own respective fields.
3. Seek ‘that day’
Our signpost and direction are the fact that Jesus is the Christ, our lives with the background of the kingdom of God, and faith and hope for ‘that day’ on which we will stand as witnesses by the power of the Holy Spirit. One day, the power of Christ will surely be revealed in our field, workplace, and work and bring about change. We need to have the patience of faith and hope to seek after ‘that day’ that will come upon our studies and work. We must wait for that day and long for it.
