Jezebel’s experience
1 Kings 19:1~8
So Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah to say, “May the gods deal with me, be it
ever so severely, if by this time tomorrow I do not make your life like that of
one of them.” (2)

Many people think that family and meetings are
important conditions for happiness. More than anything else, the greatest
blessing is being raised by a mother who has the Gospel. Conversely, when
people meet with wicked individuals, difficulties come to them and they suffer
from hardships. In the Bible, Jezebel was someone who worshiped idols and tried
to take the life of the prophet Elijah. Through one woman, the lives of many people
and history itself changed. What must the children of God realize as they look
at Jezebel?
1. One person can exert great influence upon the age and history
In the Bible, Eve ate the Forbidden Fruit and left
God. As a result, suffering, hardship, and unhappiness came to mankind. Jezebel
worshiped idols, helped the false prophets, and led the nation of Israel into
destruction. Jezebel was a wicked woman who raised temples of worship to Baal
and Asherah throughout Israel. From this, we can see that through one
unbelieving person, the history of one nation was changed and suffering
began.
2. One person of faith can save the age
Despite the command that was issued for all
newborn sons to be put to death, Moses’ mother, Jochebed, raised Moses in faith. She also relayed the covenant to
Moses and raised Him in the Word and prayer. Hannah also raised Samuel as a
Nazirite that God desired. When Paul was carrying out the evangelism movement,
Phoebe and Priscilla devoted themselves to helping his ministry. In this
manner, through one person who challenges in faith, the age was changed and the
world was revived.
3. A person of prayer within the church is very important
In the Bible, God did not require a great many
people; He carried out His works through just a few individuals in order to
change the age and raise up the evangelism movement. Through the people of
prayer who embraced the field with the Gospel, the church and the age were
revived. Moreover, through those with the Gospel in each region, people were
brought to salvation and churches experienced growth and received the blessing
of being the source of blessings. We just need to be led as evangelism
disciples to save the region.
-God desires to save the church and the region through me. Pray and ask God
regarding the field that He has entrusted to you, as well as His plan for you.
