Many people think that they will become happy once they achieve success. However, there are all too many people who face hardship after being confronted by various problems, even after attaining success and rising to the highest position. At times, these people choose extreme measures to get out of their problems like suicide. Though people study hard, succeed, and make a lot of money; though science develops and the quality of life improves, spiritual problems cannot be resolved. If people do not become children of God, they cannot enjoy true happiness. What is the status and authority of a child of God?

1. There is an important content

The reason why many people succeed and then experience failure afterwards is because they are under the authority of Satan. Within the background of hell, even wealth and honor lead to destruction. However, the children of God have the background of heaven. This means that they can enjoy the kingdom of God upon this earth and then go to the eternal kingdom of heaven. Jesus explained this very clearly for 40 days on the Mount of Olives. Herein lies all success.

2. There is an important promise

Jesus spoke about the kingdom of God to the apostles for 40 days and He gave them an important promise. He promised that the Holy Spirit would be with the children of God and that the Holy Spirit would lead them. He also said that He would move the entire world by the working of the Holy Spirit. The status of a child of God is the status of enjoying the power of God through the Holy Spirit. When we enjoy this promise through the Word and prayer, God will add unto us His power for us to do world evangelization and more.

3. The works arose in Mark’s upper room

The apostles came down from the Mount of Olives and arrived at Mark’s upper room. They held onto the promised covenant on the day of Pentecost and devoted themselves to prayer. At this time, just as was promised, the Holy Spirit came upon them and the door to world missions was opened. When they enjoyed the filling of the Holy Spirit, they gained the strength to transcend the world. When we enjoy our status and authority as children of God in the place where we are, we will receive the answer of the people in the field being healed and the door of evangelism being opened.
