Gospel system
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
♬ Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #361 ’Tis the Blessed Hour of Prayer (#480 in previous version)
When the Israelite people became slaves to countries including Egypt and Babylon, there was no way to escape. Because it was impossible with human strength, God with His power brought about a miracle. God has given His people a tremendous power that is incomprehensible by the world’s standards. God fulfills all things and rules over all areas with His mighty power; this is the Gospel system that the children of God must enjoy. How can we enjoy this system?
1. Church leaders
When the Israelites were slaves in Egypt, God called Moses who had the covenant of the Gospel firmly in his heart and raised him as a spiritual leader and gave him the mission of the exodus. Moses was elderly and had no talent for speaking. However, through Moses, God brought about the 10 plagues and led the Israelites out of Egypt. Also, He restored the three feastsPentecost, Passover, and the Feast of Ingathering in order to memorialize God’s guidance and relay the covenant to His descendants.
2. Church officers
Moses gathered elders for the exodus and proclaimed God’s plan and the covenant of the Passover. Through the elders, God’s plan and covenant were proclaimed to all of the Israelites. What Moses proclaimed realistically and logically sounded absurd. However, the church officers of Israel believed that God would work a miracle and that the Israelites would escape out of Egypt. Those who believe in God’s power will receive the greatest blessing.
3. Believers
When all the believers put the blood of the lamb upon their doorposts, the work of the exodus from Egypt took place. Through Moses, God did amazing works in front of Pharaoh who was stubborn and ultimately destroyed by the Israelites who applied the blood of the lamb. When all the believers became one in the Gospel and prayed, they escaped Egypt and the temple was restored. The Holy Spirit will come upon all peopleActs 2:1~4 and the evangelism movement will arise. In this way, when believers focus solely on the Gospel, works that will change the age will arise.
