God’s miracle
Acts 7:1~60 While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” Then he fell on his knees and cried out, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” When he had said this, he fell asleep. (59-60)

In the Bible, there are many miracles that were fulfilled by the power of God. Among them is an instance of a reverse miracle. In other words, believers who held onto the covenant faced “failure” while those who did not believe in God achieved “success.” How did these impossible things happen within the church and for the believers? If you look closely with the eyes of the Gospel, you can see the hidden plan of God. What is the significance of these reverse miracles?
1. Unbeliever’s victory
Countries such as Assyria, Philistia, Babylon, and Egypt were all superpower nations surrounding Israel and greatly influenced the world despite not having the Gospel. When the Israelites lost hold of the Gospel, these superpower nations invaded Israel and captured its people. On the surface it may have seemed as if the unbelievers were victorious; however, realistically, that time was an opportunity for the Israelites to restore the Gospel. Do not feel discouraged and resentful in the face of the success of unbelievers, but discover the plan of God.
2. Persecution faced by the Gospel movement
When the Gospel movement began, numerous individuals persecuted and accused those who held onto the Gospel. The believers of the Early Church received persecution for many years and Rev. Chu, Gi-chul was martyred for sharing the Gospel in Korea. However, God reversed the positions of the powerful Jews and the lacking Early Church. When the Gospel gradually disappeared in the Middle Ages, the Religious Reformation began through those with the Gospel and the age was consequently changed. Within God’s plan, the persecution faced by those who do the Gospel movement is a door for answers.
3. An age without evangelists
In the Bible, there appears an age without any evangelists to share the Gospel. When the covenant stopped being relayed, God began to use the few individuals who held onto the Gospel. A nation and age without the Gospel is bound to fail. During these times, God blessed the future generation who risked their lives for the Gospel. Difficulties and conflicts are God’s plan to raise the Remnants ̊. No matter how difficult reality may be, God provides renewed strength for those who remain with the Gospel and fulfills His plan.
