Jesus said to His disciples, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.” Why is it “but” through the Holy Spirit? When Peter who was uneducated and Paul who had once persecuted Christians experienced the mystery of “only Holy Spirit”, the doors of world evangelization opened and they stood as witnesses of Christ. When you have the unique experience of the Holy Spirit that is within you, you will receive the astounding answers of God. How can we enjoy this mystery?

1. Imprint

The disciples who received the teachings of Jesus on the Mount of Olives for 40 days realized that the Israelites became captives of surrounding superpower nations when they lost hold of the covenant. In addition, the disciples discovered that now was the time to share the Gospel and restore the covenant. At that moment, all the worldly nature and unbelief that were imprinted in their hearts became healed and they held onto the Gospel as the only solution to all problems. When we focus on the Word and prayer, we can receive healing of our hearts, thoughts, and bodies.

2. Filling of the Holy Spirit

In Mark’s upper room, a few disciples gathered together to devote themselves wholly in prayer. They did not pray concerning their selfish desires, but sought only the filling of the Holy Spirit that God had promised. The Holy Spirit came upon the disciples who gathered in prayer at Mark’s upper room, and the power of wind and the works of fire that nobody could block began to arise. When the Early Church faced great crisis, God struck down King Herod who persecuted the church. When we enjoy the filling of the Holy Spirit, we can experience God’s unique power and authority.

3. Authority

When you discover the authority that God has provided, your spiritual eyes will be opened when you look at the world. Problems seem difficult to resolve when you perceive them with the eyes of the world. However, when problems are examined from a spiritual standpoint, they can be solved. You can witness God’s work of healing taking place. At that moment, the answers of the Word being fulfilled through my life, problems becoming platforms, and the authority and power of God taking place through me will be experienced.
