The resurrected Lord of lords
Matthew 28:16~20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you., And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (19~20)
The Jewish people waited for Christ, the Messiah, but when Jesus came to the earth, they envied him and were jealous of him, and nailed him to the cross. However, Jesus resurrected in three days as evidence that He is the Christ. There are many promises and prophecies in the Bible, but they can be summed up into three large promises, and all of them are about Jesus Christ. What promise must we place in our hearts in order to enjoy the resurrected Jesus Christ right now?
1. He promised to send the Christ
Prior to carrying out an important ministry, Jesus asked, “And who do you say that I am?” At this time, Peter gave the confession of faith that Jesus is the Christ. Jesus blessed Peter that upon this rock, He would build His church; the gates of Hades will not overcome it; and that He will give him the keys to the kingdom of heaven. When we accurately realize Jesus Christ, all of the forces of darkness will be bound. In addition, we receive the answer of God being with us for all eternity.
2. He promised that Christ would bear the cross and die
The Bible says that Jesus was pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquitiesIsaiah 53:5 The reason why Jesus died on the cross was to solve the problem of Satan, hell, and all of life’s problems, as well as to become the way for us to meet God. All of our problems have already been solved before the cross of Jesus Christ. Even the problems that we can see with our eyes at this very moment can be overcome with the authority of Jesus Christ.
3. He promised that He would resurrect as evidence that He is the Christ
Jesus died according to the Scriptures and rose again according to the Scriptures.1 Corinthians 15:3~5 On the Mount of Olives, Jesus gave the authority of heaven and earth, and He said that if we pray in His name, we will have victory. Also, He promised that He will be with us to the very end of the age, and that He will send us the Counselor, the Holy Spirit. The resurrected Jesus is with me now, and He protects me by His Holy Spirit. When we enjoy this mystery in our lives, there is nothing for us to fear.
