Three types of healing
John 19:30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
After suffering on the cross, Jesus uttered his last words: “It is finished.”John 19:30 His crucifixion ended all of mankind’s suffering and problems. God gave these words to us, and our problems are already finished. Our scars, problems, natures, and thoughts can be healed with the Word of God. How can we enjoy this God-given blessing, and how can we receive healing?
1. Healed through the Word
You may be wondering: if Jesus already solved all of our problems, how come my problems seem to have no solution? Many people try to solve their problems through studying or expending effort, but the Gospel in and of itself is the solution to all of our lifelong problems. When we meditate deeply on the Word God has given us, the thoughts that have been incorrectly imprinted in us will disappear, along with the scars of the past. Additionally, as the Word newly fills our hearts, we will see God’s plan behind our problems, and we will have victory.
2. Healed through prayer
Many lay people are afraid of prayer. But prayer is an important method through which we can receive spiritual strength and enjoy the Word. We heal incorrect thoughts through the Gospel during scheduled prayer. We also enjoy the filling of the Holy Spirit. Additionally, through 24-hour prayer, we receive spiritual strength that can transcend the world. We enjoy true happiness of being with God through prayer, and we can experience the work of our lives being transformed through the Gospel.
3. Healing through evangelism
When we restore the Word and prayer, evangelism naturally follows suit. Evangelism is changing the field riddled with the forces of darkness through the Gospel. It is also giving the answer of Christ to whomever we meet, and giving true happiness to people who are suffering spiritually. God created a time schedule, along with people who will receive the Gospel. We don’t need to force anything; rather, God will naturally lead us to meet people to whom we ought to relay the Gospel. We need only to follow as God leads.
