SAT The early morning prayer of King David

Psalm 5:1~7 In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my
requests before you and wait expectantly. (3)

The world states that we must be morning people and know the method of only sleeping four hours a night and this shows us that those who utilize their time in the morning well tend to be successful. King David was a figure who woke up early in the morning. Even as a king, he used the time in the early morning for prayer. Of course it is beneficial to simply wake up early in the morning; however,it is more important what you do during that time. In the mornings, David would communicate with God and consequently receive much wisdom and grace. What is the mystery of early morning prayer that David discovered, and how can I enjoy the same blessing?

1. Spiritual summit Top

At a young age, David was simply an ordinary shepherd. However, even when he tended
the sheep, he did so with the best of his abilities before God and not before man. In
addition, he began every single day with prayer. As a shepherd boy, he meditated upon the
Word and gave praise to God. David was an individual who already reached the spiritual
summit. God provided David with the courage and skill to overcome lions and bears, and
bestowed upon him the power to chase out evil spirits through praise.

2. Power of prayer

Samuel who approached David already knew that it was God’s plan to raise David as
king. When Samuel anointed him with oil, the spirit of the Lord descended upon David.
David who prayed with the vision of becoming king had no reason to fear. In the face of
hardships, David gained strength by focusing on God in prayer. When you restore the
power of prayer like David, the answer that transcends the world can be seen.

3. Power to save

If you have experienced the power of prayer, just begin each day with prayer. When you
pray before God for 5 to 10 minutes, your entire day will be restored. Also, when you give
worship and pray before God with all your heart, the world will be revived. David confessed that the almighty power of God was his shield. When David’s confession becomes my confession, I myself will be restored and I can then enjoy the blessing of saving others.
