Unique blessings
Philippians 3:21 Who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his
control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
Even after we hear messages and receive grace, it is not so easy to enjoy the Word of God at school or in the workplace. Especially, conflicts arise from our interpersonal relationships because our thoughts are all different. This was the case for both Joseph and David, too. Joseph’s stepbrothers and Potiphar’s wife falsely accused Joseph; King Saul tried to kill David. Joseph and David, however, did not curse or resent others. It was because they enjoyed the unique blessings that no one knew about.
What is the one and only blessing that the people of answers received?
1. Blessing of prayer
If we enjoy the prayer of connecting with God, we will not waver because of the words of
people. We will align all of our standards with God’s and follow the direction that God
desires. At such times, conflicts with others will not pose as problems at all. If we appoint some time to have quiet time of looking to God and connect all our 24-hour thoughts with prayer, we will gain spiritual power. Moreover, when we deeply meditate on the Word of God and pray, our hearts and minds will be healed. Prayer is spiritual power that no one can ever take away from us.
2. Blessing of the Word of God
When we restore prayer, we will begin to see the Word that God gives to us. Whatever it
may be, we can begin with the Word of God as our standard. When we deeply meditate
on the Word, the Word of God will be fulfilled and we will find from the Word of God the
solution to problems and incidents. If we have the power to meditate on the Word of God,
we will be all right no matter what kind of hardships or crises come our way. All we need
to do is to enjoy the one and only solution in the Gospel and experience the fulfillment of the Word of God.
3. Blessing of identity
We may appear weak when seen from the perspective of the world. However, we are God’s
children who believe in Jesus Christ and have received salvation. When we confirm our
spiritual sense of identity, we will gain the power to overcome the world. Paul considered
everything of this earth rubbish and only looked to the fact that Jesus is the Christ. When we remember that God has called us as His children and has blessed us, we will not waver before the world.
