Experiencing a different power
ohn14:16~17 AndIwillasktheFather, andhewillgiveyouanotherCounselorto be with you forever – the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you

Nowadays people are ever more interested in meditation and breathing exercises. A slew of books, workshops and programs with a ‘healing’ theme are released to help the weary minds find comfort and rest. Organizations such as the New Age have emphasized chi, deep breathing exercises and supernatural power, spreading the importance of meditation via various media. However, if you fall deeply into meditation without knowing the Gospel, evil spirits will encroach on your mind and you may fall into greater difficulties. What is the different power that the children of God must acquire?
1. Power to save the field
Joseph was sold into slavery to another country but he possessed a different power. Though he was living in slavery in Egypt and went to prison under false accusation, Joseph was not really dragged to such places but was moving in search of God’s plan. Because God was with Joseph, his workplace began to change and others who had not believed in God saw it, as well. David, who enjoyed the mystery of conversing with God in the field by himself as a shepherd, had a different power as well. That is why he was able to lift up the name and power of God before Goliath and boldly stand up against him and fight.
2. Power to save the age and nation
Those who have the different power that God provides will save the age and nation. Daniel’s friends Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were acknowledged for their skills and integrity even in the country where they were taken as captives and became government officials; even under the circumstances of everyone having to bow down to an idol, they not once agonized over it but chose faith instead.Daniel 3:8~24 Daniel, too, possessed this power. Even knowing the plot of those who envied him, he staked his life and never stopped praying. Though he was thrown into the lions’ den, God even closed the lions’ mouths.Daniel 6:10~22
3. Power to save the church Acts 17:1, Acts 18:4, Acts 19:8
If we gain the different power that God provides, just as Joseph, David, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego and Daniel enjoyed, we will be able to save the church. If the church gains power, it can change the age and change the world. We will experience that Jesus is the Christ in all problems and circumstances and enjoy the kingdom of God. In addition, we will gain the power that God provides and the answer of saving the church will begin.
