Joshua 23:1~11 The Lord your God himself will drive them out of your way. He will push them out before you, and you will take possession of their land, as the Lord your God promised you. “Be very strong; be careful to obey all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, without turning aside to the right or to the left.” (5~6)

There are those who have success and those who fail in this world. Those who fail hold to wild ideas and do not do their best. They grumble without trying and are unfaithful in small things. Those who are successful, however, do their best as they perceive the reality and assume not only big tasks but also small tasks with integrity. Joshua was a man of success both from the secular point of view and the spiritual point of view. He witnessed the power of God, saw everything from the spiritual perspective and always did his best. What must we do to experience God and have victory just as Joshua did?
1. We need to change what is instilled in us
What we see, hear and think about frequently remains and is instilled in our minds without being erased. What is instilled in us becomes our life and future. Joshua saw God’s power with his eyes and meditated on the covenant that God had given to him to the point of engraving it in his mind. If we have things other than the Word and covenant of God in our hearts, we will be unable to experience God. When we change what has been instilled in us as well as our thoughts and attitude by the power of the Word, we will experience God.
2. We need to find and enjoy the way to be with God
God is with His children by the Holy Spirit, but we will receive the greatest answer when we know and enjoy this fact 24 hours a day. Joshua became a witness who enjoyed God being with him and experienced the power of God throughout his entire life. The children of God can enjoy the blessing of Immanuel through prayer. We can receive the answer of enjoying spiritual power when we choose God, serve God alone, and direct our hearts and minds to God.
3. God will provide us with His power when we grab hold of the definite future
Joshua conquered Canaan with the power that God granted to him. If we know God’s plan and experience God’s power, then our future is definitely secured. If we grab hold of the works that God desires from us and His plan for us, God will grant us spiritual power. If we have true courage inside God’s covenant, we can enjoy true power. God supplied Joshua, who experienced His miracles, the power to defeat the enemy.
