Joshua 14:6~15 I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh Barnea to explore the land. Caleb, like Joshua, crossed the Jordan River and felled Jericho. Caleb always enjoyed God’s power, his commission and the covenant. Like Caleb who was a dedicated hidden leader, if we are to experience God’s power, what sort of answers should we receive?
1. We must discover hidden blessings in the midst of suffering
Although there were numerous hardships facing the Israelites, Caleb saw the hidden blessings in the midst of hardship. He realized the covenant through the time of slavery in Egypt; through 40 years in the desert, he understood the feasts and the Ark of the Covenant; and he received the answer of the tabernacle. He threw away his unbelief in the face of the Jordan River and renewed his faith, and in front of Jericho, he witnessed God’s power. Like this, in the midst of suffering and problems, when we discover the hidden plans of God, difficulties will become blessings.
2. We are able to see the hidden blessings during times of crisis
God, in the midst of crisis, gave the Israelites a blessing they could not fathom. Caleb knew this and gave a testimony of faith.Numbers 14:1~10 He believed in God’s truth and when he spoke about the covenant, he believed in God’s power and followed God. Also, whenever the Israelites faced a crisis, Caleb was the first one to devote himself. Caleb understood that the moment of crisis is the most important spiritual time and an opportunity to enjoy God’s answers.
3. You will be able to see the hidden spiritual mystery in your walk of faith
Many people consider their spiritual walk of faith to be difficult. However, Caleb discovered true happiness in his walk of faith and he confirmed God’s plan and absolute sovereignty. Instead of viewing Canaan using the world’s methods and human strength, he spoke about God’s plan and covenant. He testified to the spiritual power and strength of God that the world did not know. Through your walk of faith, you will discover God’s power which solved all of humankind’s problems.
