Mystery of the tabernacle
Exodus 40:1~16 Then the Lord said to Moses: “Set up the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, on the first day of the first month. (1~2) ♬ Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #279 Pass Me not, O Gentle Savior (#337 in previous version) While the Israelites were traveling in the wilderness, God commanded them to build the tabernacle. It was a trying time for the Israelites, but they mustered up their strength and built the tabernacle with faith. The tabernacle is the place where the blessing of the Ark of the Covenant that God gave to them was connected. The individuals in the Bible were aware of this mystery and built an altar before God. When they lived their lives centered on the tabernacle, God showed them visions and added power to them. If so, what is the mystery of the tabernacle that the children of God living in this day and age must enjoy?
1. We must know the essence of the tabernacle
The tabernacle symbolizes the coming Messiah, namely Jesus Christ. In the tabernacle was the Holy Place, in which there was a place where the priests would wash their hands as well as an altar of burnt offering. And within the Holy Place there was the Most Holy Place where the Ark of the Covenant was placed. The tabernacle signifies Jesus Christ. The tabernacle is where the sins of man are made clean, the lamp of prayer to God is always lit, and we experience God coming upon us. The Israelites who understood the significance of the tabernacle and worshipped God received spiritual power and answers with which they could have victory in the wilderness without perishing.
2. We must know the reason for the tabernacle
The tabernacle that the Israelites built in the wilderness was designed to be transported. When the tabernacle moved, they all moved in unison because they had to relay the covenant of the tabernacle. We must live our lives centered on the tabernacle and we are the spiritual messengers relaying the covenant. We must relay the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the mystery of the tabernacle to the whole world and to future generations. It is at this time that the power and blessing of God are relayed along with them. The blessing that God bestowed upon Moses was relayed to Joshua through the tabernacle, and the covenant was relayed to the Early Church, after passing through the hands of Samuel, David and King Hezekiah.
3. The blessing of the tabernacle was perfected in the Early Church
Through the tabernacle and temple, the covenant was relayed from the Israelites who escaped from Egypt to the Early Church. This covenant was perfected through the Early ChurchActs 2:1~47. The works of God began when the day of Pentecost came, and God bestowed the greatest blessing when the believers of the Early Church constantly joined in prayer. When they went out with the power of God, all the doors in the field opened and 3,000 disciples were raised who would save each and every region. This is the blessing of the tabernacle that we as children of God must receive today.
