With what kind of thoughts must we live?
Exodus 3:1~20 The Lord said, I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. We are always contemplating about interpersonal relationships, what to eat, and what to wear. There are those who try to live well holding onto fame and prestige, and others who aren’t able to live according to their will. The children of God must think differently as opposed to the people of the world. With what kind of thoughts must we live?
1. Restoring the Gospel in the midst of hardships
The Israelites were slaves in Egypt. Following the exodus from Egypt, the Israelites arrived upon the land of Canaan. However, hardships arose due to the Philistine nation and the Israelites were stripped of the Ark of the Covenant. When finally their lives seemed to be at peace, the Israelites faced oppression from the nation of Aram and the Assyrians. Satan manipulates problems to hinder us from holding onto the Word of God, and through these problems, we face suffering and disasters. Whenever the Gospel fades from our lives, the blessings we receive from God are lost. By losing hold of the Gospel, only problems and conflicts remain.
2. Knowing your spiritual state in the midst of problems
If you are unaware of your spiritual state in the midst of problems, then despite having received blessings, you will lose hold of them just as the Israelites did. However, if you can discover your spiritual state inside the Gospel, then the disasters will come to an end. The curses and disaster in our lives must crumble in order for blessings to be restored. When Moses lost hold of the covenant he wandered, and when he held onto the covenant of God upon Mount Horeb, great answers began to come.
3. Praying the prayer that will change the culture of the world
There are many people in this world who need to receive salvation. However, they are living within the deception of the forces of darkness inside of music that stimulates the emotions of man, playful things or the pleasures that make them feel good temporarily. The eternal Word of God is deemed boring and the methods of the world, in contrast, appear as exciting and delightful. This is the strategy of Satan. Wherever the Gospel is absent, the culture of darkness prevails. The children of God must look past the culture of the world and perceive the spiritual background. By restoring the Gospel, we must save the culture of the world.
Forum Topic People who do not believe in Christ are taking over the world. Even through suffering, God allows us to realize the Gospel and enter inside prayer. This is so that we can take hold of the strength that is inside of the Gospel and save and conquer the world with the Gospel. What kind of prayer must I restore today?
