Moses’ life journey
Exodus 3:10~20 And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.” (12) Things may go well as you live, but there are also times when you come across an unexpected problem or difficulty. Moses was the same. Moses grew up wealthy in the palace for 40 years after his birth, but lived as a runaway in the Midian desert for 40 years thereafter. Then, God called Moses who was over 80 years old. That was the time schedule in which he tasted the power of the Gospel. What was the blessing that Moses tasted after his life’s journey?
1. He experienced the power of the Gospel
God called Moses to Mount Horeb when the Israelites were suffering as slaves in Egypt. Moses saw the power of God on Mount Horeb and received the commission to rescue the Israelites from Egypt. When Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, God saved them through the blood of the lamb. Moses who held onto the covenant of the blood sacrifice and the covenant of the coming Messiah Jesus Christ saw God’s ten miracles and the miracle of the Red Sea.
2. He gained spiritual strength and saw the spiritual realm
Moses saw the power of God and gained spiritual strength. When he gained spiritual strength, he saw the mystery of the spiritual realm that people of the world do not know. He enjoyed the Passover that signifies salvation, Pentecost that signifies the working of the Holy Spirit, and the Feast of Ingathering that signifies the background of heaven. Also, he knew the meaning of the Ark of the Covenant and enjoyed the blessing of God being with him. He maintained the power of God who led him in the wilderness and received the answer of transcending the world.
3. He relayed what was eternal
Moses knew the mystery to relay to the descendants. Moses held onto the Ark of the Covenant that God gave and relayed the covenant to Joshua and Caleb. To Joshua who held onto the covenant, works like the splitting of the Jordan, crumbling down of the Jericho, and stopping of the sun and moon happened. God also worked when Caleb held onto the mystery of the Ark of the Covenant. If we now have the covenant that Joshua and Caleb held onto, we have no reason at all to be shaken for God gives us eternal answers.
