Realization for academics and work
Genesis 39:2~6 When his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did (3) Students receive the most stress from their academics, and career professionals from their jobs. Though they may receive grace from Sunday worship, when they step inside a classroom to take their exams, or step into work, their hearts may grow heavy. Only when we receive the power of prayer during the week can we overcome the unbelief and stress. In our lives, when we enjoy the filling of the Holy Spirit, we will experience the power that transcends my own, and the forces of darkness working in our schools and workplaces will be bound. So what kind of prayers must we begin?
1. We must enjoy prayer that allows us to enjoy the Gospel, prayer, and work together Many people pray about their work and academics, and the Gospel and prayer. It is because they do not know what to prioritize. But the entire priorities of children of God must rest in the Gospel and the Word. When we give Word-centered prayer, everything will become a blessing and answer. Joseph did not start praying after he was sold into slavery; rather, he was sold into slavery in the midst of prayer. Though Joseph continued to be put in dire straits, he was not disheartened because he knew it was all part of God’s plan within prayer.
2. We will discover the time schedule
We will discover God’s prayer topics when we meditate deeply on the Word. When you already know the results to a sports game, or the conclusion of a movie, you will not be tense or anxious in the middle. So when you discover your life’s conclusion within the Gospel, you will understand that all problems are a platform for conclusions in your life, and merely a process. When we go forth knowing that God will bless us, the realities we see are merely the way God guides us to His time schedule. When David met Goliath, he was certain that God would lead him to victory. God fulfilled His time schedule, and showed David great miracles.
3. We will see the age with spiritual perspective
When we enjoy this blessing and focus on our academic and work alike, we will gain spiritual perspective. When we see everything through a worldly perspective, everything seems impossible and looks like it’s designed to fail. However, if we look at things through the spiritual perspective, we will see God’s power. Just as Joseph had a vision for world evangelization even as he looked at Egypt as a slave, and just as David saw the vision of becoming king even as the Philistines were attacking his land, when we look at our age through the spiritual perspective, we will see our own God-given commission.
