Many people desire communication with others, but once someone’s mind is shut, it is very difficult to open the lines of communication. There are times when the back-and-forth between people are only words and nothing of substance. Instead of trying to endure the difficulties in life, we need to take a deep breath and pray while seeking the time schedule for restoration. How did Joseph discover the method of restoration in the midst of his suffocating reality?
 
1. How to overcome family problems
 Joseph lost his mother at an early age and grew up in loneliness while being tormented by his brothers. The loss of a mother at such a crucial age was too much for Joseph to bear. His father Jacob gave the Gospel to young Joseph. Instead of attempting to avoid his lonely reality, Joseph turned to God in prayer. He made a resolution of faith, and as Joseph filled the void in his life with prayer, God showed him dreams and a vision for the future.

2. How to endure in the worst situations
He barely escaped death at the hands of his brothers, but another crisis befell him. As a slave, Joseph faced a reality in which he was sold to a faraway land where no one could come to his aid. But he did not complain, and instead applied himself diligently in his work, while praying for the vision God had given him. Even the worst of situations could not triumph over the vision and covenant given to Joseph by God. The God-given vision became the force that propelled Joseph in his life.

3. How to live in the present for your future
As we live our lives, there will come a time when we will feel miserable in the face of problems or lack the strength to face the events in our lives. Whenever we lack the strength or lack answers, there is something we must not forget: God has commissioned me in the midst of difficulties! Whether our difficulties are big or small, when we think spiritual thoughts, our twisted and scarred minds will gain spiritual perspective.
