Acts 3:1 One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon. ♬ Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #293 Jesus Comes with Pow’r to Gladden (#414 in previous version) According to usual custom, Peter and John met with the crippled man at the temple gates as they were making their way to pray at 3 in the afternoon. The cripple was unable to walk from birth and lived off the charity of passersby. People saw the cripple when they walked past the temple gates, yet no one had any hope for him. However, Peter and John who received the filling of the Holy Spirit changed. Their eyes to perceive the world and people changed. On that day, Peter commanded the cripple to walk in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The cripple then stood, beginning to walk and run. What changed about Peter and John?
1. They realized their commission
God guides His children who have received salvation until the day Jesus returnsPhilippians 1:6 and for the sake of His pleasing will, He fulfills His desire through usPhilippians 2:13. God absolutely has a plan for mankind. God has called us to give us life. In addition, He desires for me to share the Gospel to my family and relatives. The church grows stronger because of me and changes arise in the field. When you realize your commission, you can taste God’s work taking place in your family, school, workplace, and in everything around you.
2. They saw the time schedule
With the life that God has given, if you realize the reason why God has called you, then the time schedule for when everything takes place becomes apparent. God works through prepared disciples. When you meet someone who is prepared by God, things take place easily. When you listen to the Word and organize its content in your life, God’s time schedule becomes that much more clear. When you write down the names of the people who must hear the Gospel and the people that you wish to lead to church or Bible study, you will come to see how you can approach them and how you can factually help them.
3. Select a prayer topic correctly
If you are holding on to foolish prayer topics, then it is difficult to receive answers. Even when answers do not come immediately, we must hold on to correct prayer topics. Sharing the Gospel is not a difficult task for someone who is enjoying the Gospel. You must have the mystery of connecting with God to have leisure and not feel burdened by the idea of devotion. Through my small devotion, the culture of the Gospel that can overcome the darkness will spread, and people suffering from scars and problems will be healed in the Gospel and gain happiness. There is no more meaningful work than this.
