Many people take part in the chi (energy) movement and movements that emphasize supernatural power, as well as organizations that are not sound in order to gain this strength. Jesus said that we will receive power when we are filled by the Holy Spirit.Acts 1:8 That promise was fulfilled in Acts 2:1, and it is being fulfilled even now. We need the strength that God gives in order to win over the world. How can we gain this strength?
1. Find the rhythm of prayer
The filling of the Holy Spirit is the state in which the Holy Spirit rules over me. When we are filled by the Holy Spirit, we do not live according to our own thoughts or our own accord; God leads us and guides us. For this reason, if we are filled by the Holy Spirit every day, we can have victory. It is important that we find our own personal method of prayer. Even if it is just a few minutes a day, stop everything that you’re doing and take time to look to God. At that time, we will gain the spiritual strength and wisdom that we simply cannot understand by our own logic or knowledge. Our time of prayer will be manifested in our lives as a driving force, and it will also exert the influence of the Gospel around us.
2. How can we gain strength?
Receiving the strength that God gives is easier than we think. The answer lies in Acts 1:14. The Early Church members who devoted themselves to prayer were filled by the Holy Spirit. We just need to believe in the fact that God desires to fill us with the Holy Spirit and pray. At that time, the kingdom of God will come upon us, and we will be able to surpass our level, environment, and all the people around us. All events will become an opportunity, and all problems will become topics by which we can receive answers.
3. We must make the preparation to receive answers
If we find the rhythm of prayer and are filled by the Holy Spirit, answers will follow. Changes will happen in the place where we are first and foremost. The door of evangelism that God has prepared will open, and we will meet with people who are appointed to receive salvation. Among them, we will meet with disciples who have a commission regarding the Gospel and evangelism. Wherever disciples go, the Gospel will be testified and the church will grow. Missionaries will be commissioned throughout the world. We must open our eyes to see the future of answers that God will unfurl. We must prepare the vessel to receive this answer and focus on enjoying and testifying of the Gospel.
