The Experience of the Gospel that we must apply in our lives

Let us take a three-day journey into the desert to offer sacrifices to the Lord our God.’ (18) ♬ Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #167 Welcome, Happy Morning (#157 in previous version) We cannot measure the mystery of salvation by our experience, but when we experience the Gospel, amazing things take place. God changes the world through the people who have experienced the Gospel. Separated from God, many people serve idols and refuse to hear the Gospel without understanding how menacing spiritual problems are. As the ones who know the Gospel, we, together with God, can save the world with the power that He grants to us by experiencing the Gospel. How can we apply the experience of the Gospel to our lives?
1. When we as individuals experience the Gospel
Just as Moses experienced the Gospel on Mount Horeb, if we experience the Gospel on a personal level, we will not waver under any circumstances. Prior to experiencing the mystery of prayer, Moses only heard about God but never experienced Him. However, ever since he met with and experienced God on Mount Horeb, Moses’ life was transformed. If we experience that nothing but the Gospel is important, God’s works will begin in our actual lives. God called Moses, a man of the covenant, to Mount Horeb and made the importance of the Gospel known to him. It is a good idea to cast aside anything that hinders the Gospel or is unnecessary for the Gospel. God blessed Moses who resolved to cast aside the worldly things.
2. When we together as a group experience the Gospel
In order to save the Israelites who were met with crises, God raised Moses as their leader and through the 10 Plagues broke down Egypt that was serving idols. And on the day of Passover when they applied the blood of the lamb, the Israelites were set free and delivered from Egypt. The Passover is an event in which all the Israelites together as a group experienced the Gospel. When the people of God hold onto the covenant of the Gospel and pray together, God restores everything.
3. When the experience of the Gospel is relayed to others
The exodus of the Israelites from Egypt was something impossible in man’s realm of thinking. However, when the Israelites put their faith in the Word and works of God, the Jordan River parted and the Wall of Jericho crumbled. The answer of one man that Moses received was relayed as blessings and an entire nation was saved. If we as the ones who have experienced the Gospel relay the blessings of the Gospel to the church and future generations, we will experience unprecedented answers like the conquest of Canaan. This is the mystery of evangelism and missions.
