People who know uniqueness
Acts 1:1~8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. They suffered the pain of being severed from the society because they were falsely labeled as a heresy. They were persecuted by the great Roman Empire for 250 years. However, the Gospel that the Early Church shared conquered Rome. Are you in the midst of serious problems that you find unable to resolve? Are you in pain from deep-seated spiritual problems? If we restore the mystery of the Early Church, which enjoyed true peace even under persecution, our chronic problems will begin to be resolved.
1. We must reach the conclusion of nothing but Jesus Christ
Satan leads people who have long been separated from God to a place of destruction. However hard they try, they are bound to live a weary life, and even if they acquire success, they are unable to fill the void in their souls. They worship idols to resolve this issue, but as a consequence of their sin, calamities and destruction continue to befall them. Jesus is the Christ who broke the authority of Satan, set us free from the curses of sin, and has become the way for us to meet God. If we reach the conclusion regarding this, our long-lived spiritual problems will be resolved.
2. We must only look toward the kingdom of God
To us who have come to the conclusion that Jesus alone is the Christ, God has granted the blessing of the kingdom of God coming upon us. Wherever we go, the power of hell is broken, angels come to help us, and the Holy Spirit is at work. We must not stop at simply knowing the spiritual truth but be able to enjoy it with prayer. If we pray for the kingdom of God to come upon us, we will witness the forces of darkness in our field being broken and the power of curses crumbling down.
3. We can stand as witnesses only after receiving the filling of the Holy Spirit
Jesus who rose again from the dead promised that He would give us the filling of the Holy Spirit. He said that He would raise the people of God who experience only the filling of the Holy Spirit as witnesses to the ends of the earth. This implies that He would work only by the spirit of God, not by our ways, our thoughts or our standards. The Early Church only received the filling of the Holy Spirit and received the answer of saving the church, world and finances. It was not a simple answer, but works arose that were unstoppable even with man’s power. With this mystery of ‘nothing but the Holy Spirit’, we must receive the blessing of saving ourselves, the church and the world.
