Do you have the answer?
Acts 9:5 “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied.
Acts 13:1~12 While they were worshipping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” (2) ♬ Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #292 I Could Not Do Without Thee (#415 in previous version) Many people are taken aback when hardships keep on coming in a row. And we as children of God, too, find ourselves in such situations at times. When we feel powerless without spiritual strength, we face problems at home as well as financial difficulties. Jesus came as the Christ and resolved all problems, and yet, why is it that our minds are occupied with deep worries and conflicts even though we are children of God? What have we lost hold of?
1. Jesus is the Christ
Jesus is the Christ. Jesus Christ is the true King who broke down the power of Satan, the true Priest who broke down the curses of the original sin of being separated from God, and the true Prophet who has become the way to meet God. If Jesus Christ, who resolved all problems of life, is with us, then nothing will pose as problems any longer. However, when we face problems, we find ourselves weighing present reality against the power of Christ. God does not want much from us. Is it true that Jesus Christ solved our problems that seemed unresolvable? If we come to the conclusion regarding this, God will begin to work.
2. Now is the time to enjoy answers
If we have come to the conclusion with Christ, we only have to see the Holy Spirit work. Paul’s missionary team during the Early Church only came to the answer, ‘Jesus Christ is everything!’ but the Holy Spirit worked to the extent that even Rome was evangelized. When two or three people who came to the conclusion of Christ went to Cyprus, the forces of darkness completely crumbled and even the governor came to believe in Jesus. If we have indeed come to the conclusion that it is enough with Jesus Christ alone, then the time will come when we witness the blessing of the kingdom of God coming upon everywhere we go.
3. A new perspective on problems
When the kingdom of God comes upon the place where we are and people who are affiliated with us, we will begin to see from a new perspective the problems that we have suffered from. Because God wanted to begin with the one and only Jesus Christ alone, He does not grant us any answers while we are holding onto other things which are not Christ. God desires to give us true answers, not superficial ones. Only then can we see the abounding love of God in our problems. Even if we have 10 seconds of coming to the conclusion of Christ alone concerning our problems, God will grant us the greatest blessing.
