What He desires of me now
Acts 2:43~47 All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. (44~45) ♬ Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #390 He Leadeth Me: O Blessed Thought (#444 in previous version) There are times when we are walking upon the wrong path, conflicted by puzzling difficulties, and consumed by utter confusion. At moments like these, you may be in discomfort because of the situation that you are in. Why did God, who is capable of doing everything, allow these events to surface in my life? Is there an absolute plan of God that I should be aware of? At this point in time, there is no need for you to give up hope and think that it won’t work for you. All you need to do is truly realize what God has prepared and desires of you.
1. An age without answers
You can never discover the answer within the world. Society is oblivious of the existence of spiritual problems, and thus grows all the more wicked and the hearts of many become desolate. Being separated from God, mankind is unable to escape Satan’s captivity and continues to be spiritually afflicted, scarred by family environment, and remains in loneliness. Poverty, illnesses, depression, and discomfort are all clearly existent. Spiritual problems cannot be resolved with mere fame, wealth, and knowledge.
2. Facing the origin of the problem
Overcoming the issue of poverty and symptoms of anxiety are only temporary solutions. In order to gain liberation from spiritual problems as well as curses and corruption that arise regardless of our actions, you must first meet God. Jesus became the way to meet God, solving all the problems of sin and curses, and has defeated the authority of Satan. The moment you believe Jesus as your Christ, you become a child of God and attain the strength to guide others. The Holy Spirit dwells within the children of God until the ends of the age. Therefore, we have nothing to fear.
3. My life from now on
If it weren’t for the Gospel, we would only find ourselves sinking deeper into our own spiritual problems. If you are able to correctly see the problem at hand and realize the answer to this problem, then you must go and fulfill your duty as a child of God in professing this truth to others. Do not be dismayed or frightened by the situation and circumstances before you, but seek to establish a greater goal. You may begin from rock bottom. You must acquire the power of God because you cannot do anything through your personal efforts. You must be happiest when you pray because prayer is the time in which you receive the power of God. Every moment you pray, God will open the doors for you, allowing you to meet necessary individuals and accomplish great things.
Forum Topic The children of God remain 100% within God’s plan in the midst of problems. Therefore, you must communicate with God in order to resolve these issues. Question yourself as to what God truly desires from you.
