A new start
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. Perhaps you received a number of answers last year, or perhaps time escaped you and you were not able to receive any answers at all. It is all right even if last year was brought to a close without you having received any answers. Starting now, we must start anew and experience the works of God. How should we begin? The answer concerning new beginnings is given in the passage of Galatians. How should we apply and hold onto today’s Word?
1. What to discard and what to put into action
We must discard the nature of the unbeliever that has no choice but to be destroyed, and put into action the nature of faith that is inside of Christ. We must discard everything that hinders us from enjoying the Gospel and blocks evangelism. We must also take on the life of living inside of evangelism and missions. However, since our nature does not change that easily, we must not lose hold of the mystery of prayer in order to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Even if it doesn’t work for you right away, when you rise to the challenge within your prayer time to be filled with the Holy Spirit, the strength to discard the things that hinder the Gospel and evangelism is gained and you are able to live a life for evangelism and missions.
2. Assurance
When you discard the things that hinder the Gospel and evangelism, you start to have great realizations and assurance from the messages you have heard in the past. The message that Jesus is the Christ and the message to go to all nations and raise disciples comes to you as a message to your soul. When assurance is gained, you have no choice but to pray for the kingdom of God to come upon you. When you start to pray when you are alone, the forces of darkness in your field start to crumble and you will begin to see the kingdom of God where angels come to your aid and you will find hidden disciples.
3. True answer
When you enjoy the kingdom of God, you begin to see a world that unbelievers cannot see and then begin to receive answers that you were not able to receive before. All you do is meditate on the Word and pray thinking about how you can share this Gospel, and unexpectedly, you taste true happiness that you’ve never tasted before. The scheduled prayer that you challenged to do with so much effort starts to turn into a time of joy and peace within your day. Finally, you become a person who overflows with thanksgiving even when answers do not come and even when you are filled with worries.
