Model of an evangelist
2 Timothy 2:1~2 You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others. There are those who remind us that this too shall pass. However, no one is capable of offering a solid solution to such problems. When we receive the Word of God and instill this Word within the very depths of our soul, our lives will change and the eyes to perceive these problems will be changed. Evangelists are not shaken by problems. Evangelists use the Word of God to make their problems into the greatest opportunity for answers. What is the life of the evangelist that I must find?
1. Through the Word, you will come to discover God’s good plan
Hidden in all situations and meetings is God’s plan. God does not allow problems to arise in our lives to see whether or not we are able to endure through it. He yearns for us to change today''s worries into the answers of tomorrow. We may be able to discern what is good and bad according to our standards; however, we must remember that God desires to fulfill His plan through everything that happens. If you can discover God’s plan for you within the Word and align the direction of your life with His, you will be used by God.
2. When you hold onto the Word, your life will change
No matter what you encounter, you must first hold onto the Word of God. When you hold on to God’s Word, you will no longer pray for your studies but begin praying as you study. It is the same for your business and occupation. You must have the heart that God will fulfill His plan in your present studies and work. This is because God changes all problems into answers, and all crises into an opportunity for His children to reach the summit.
3. When you hold onto the Word, you still stand upon the greatest position
You must apply this in your studies, work, and interpersonal relationships. The children of God must not lose hold of their identity in the world, but maintain an affinity for the world as you reinterpret everything around you within the Word. An individual who possesses this strength can stand upon the greatest position. Do not forget that before God has called you, He has prepared all these blessings beforehand. He has appointed you as a model of evangelism.
