Acts 1:1~3 After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. (3) Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #370 The Trusting Heart to Jesus Clings (#455 in previous version) Though we want to live up to the name of being a child of God with the Gospel and become good individuals who live harmonious social lives, there seem to be many obstacles that prevent this from happening. At the same time, the hidden problems that we have prevent the Word from being applied in our lives. What must we do in order to apply the Word of Jesus regarding spiritual healing and rise up as spiritual summits?
1. Examine your spiritual state
God had a hidden plan for Joseph when he was enslaved and even when he was imprisoned. Joseph was not arrogant, and instead, humbly reflected on his problems before God. He never lost hold of the mystery of being with God as he asked God what His hidden plan was and why He had permitted these hardships. Though you may think that there is nothing wrong with your spiritual state, if you are faced with problems, God has an important plan to change you according to His desires.
2. Remember the teachings of Jesus to His disciples
After Jesus resurrected, He spoke about spiritual healing for 40 days and told the disciples to receive the filling of the Holy Spirit. This means that we must gain the strength that God gives because we can shake as we look at our present reality and get deceived because of our problems. Those who hope in the Lord and rely on Him will never fail. No matter what happens, place your heart on God and remember the new grace that Jesus spoke of to His disciples. When we remember the Word of God, we can maintain healthy thoughts, a healthy body, and a healthy heart, and it is at this time that we will taste spiritual healing.
3. Utilize the authority of Jesus
Even Paul who received the blessings of God experienced conflicts that others did not know about. (Romans 7:24). Even David, who delighted in the Word and joyfully praised God for His statutes, made a grave mistake and experienced hardship as a result. The power of the Creator God is capable of overcoming every problem. Bind the forces of darkness in your life with the authority of Jesus Christ, and begin the prayer of enjoying your identity as a child of God. Only then can you have victory by the power of God.
- Problems are not bad, but are mere shortcuts for you to enjoy the blessings of God and focus solely on Him. In order to maintain healthy thoughts and a healthy mind, pray holding onto the authority of Jesus and the identity of being a child of God when you are faced with problems.
