The greatest event on Earth
Mark 10:45 For even the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many. However, among all of these incidents, there was one event that changed the course of history. If so, what is this most important event? It was the event in which Jesus bore the cross and died and rose again in three days for the sins of mankind. In the world, there are many renowned individuals who have made great accomplishments; however, the greatest event that changed the world was the death of Jesus Christ and His resurrection. What is the significance of this event, and what does it have to do with us?
1. Original sin cannot be solved by human strength
People were originally created to be happy with God. However, they were deceived by Satan and ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden and broke their covenant with God, and became separated from Him. (Genesis 3) Through this event came all the sins and curses, and this original sin became the source for all ensuing sins. Without solving the original sin, mankind cannot come out of curses and disasters. Everyone works hard to achieve happiness, but this problem cannot be solved with the power of man.
2. You cannot be truly happy without meeting God
All people dream of happiness. They study, make money, get married, and have children to gain happiness, but no matter how much they struggle to do so that happiness is only temporary. Their problems seem to get resolved, and yet there are only more problems that arise. True happiness begins when they meet God; however, mankind cannot meet God with their own efforts. God sent Jesus to the world to open the way to meet God.
3. The world continues to get more wicked and there is no method to solve this
These days, television programs seem to be only filled with bad news. Although the world continues to advance, crime rates are on the rise day by day and life is getting harder to live. In order to solve this problem, science, the economy, culture, and politics continue to advance, but strangely, the situation only gets worse. All these problems began from original sin, the spiritual problem of leaving God. The only one who can solve this problem is Jesus Christ. This is the reason why Jesus Christ came to the earth.
-Jesus Christ died on the cross and resurrected. The Holy Spirit dwells within the children of God who have accepted Jesus Christ and have received salvation.
