Things that Remnants must enjoy
Joshua 1: 1~9 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. (8~9) Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #347 We are Bound for Canaan Land (#382 in previous version) We are living in an age where many people have no interest in the Gospel or have the ears to hear it. In each age where the covenant of Jesus Christ is lost, God has prepared someone with the covenant to save the world with the Gospel. We call this person a Remnant. God has called us, who have the Gospel, the Remnants of this age. If we lose hold of the covenant, we too will suffer as slaves and captives in the demonic culture. Then what must Remnants with the covenant enjoy?
1. A time to wholly look to the Lord
The world today is ignorant of the covenant of Jesus Christ and is enslaved to material wealth and is held captive by the culture without true happiness. We who have the Gospel must save the world and that is why we must set aside a time to hold to Jesus Christ. It can’t be done by our standards or power; therefore, we must have the time to gain strength in only Christ, the kingdom of God, and the filling of the Holy Spirit. During your time alone, meditate on the covenant of the Word and the miraculous strength to break the culture of idolatry will be given.
2. God of covenant
God the Creator promised to be with the Remnants who will save this age. God also promised to save the regions to which we will go and told us to be strong and courageous. God is with us today, always, and forever. To those who hold onto the covenant, unseen to the physical eye, God is fulfilling that covenant right now. In life there are many times of hardships and moments of discouragement, but we must be strong and courageous, trusting in the Lord who fulfills His covenant.
3. Kingdom of God
The world is being deceived by the demonic culture. Through superstition, shamanism, and through religions, Satan does everything he can to keep the world from know about Jesus Christ. There is no other name apart from Jesus Christ that can overcome Satan who tries to destroy mankind. We cannot see with our eyes, but we must fight the culture of darkness by starting a spiritual warfare. Then the kingdom of God will come upon the region where I live and we will be able to see the works of the Holy Spirit.
