Be strong in the grace
2 Timothy 2:1~7 You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. Reflect on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all this. (1, 7) Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #31 Praise Him, Praise Him (#46 in previous version) After focusing on your studies intently, you want to release your stress and gain peace of mind. There are many things within the worldly culture that gives temporary pleasures or is interesting enough to induce you to forget the sorrows of your heart. However, if you do not seek after the grace of God, you will never have eternal peace. What must we do in order to gain peace and be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus?
1. Do not fear anything and do not worry
When Joseph, Moses, and David were faced with the problem of death, they prayed in order to fight against their fear. Jesus Christ, who broke the powers of Satan, solved all of our problems and opened the way to meet God. We must believe this fact in our hearts and begin our prayers. Not worrying about anything at all may be difficult to do, but if we bind the powers of the forces of darkness that bring us unbelief in the name Jesus Christ, Satan will not be able to hinder us.
2. Trust in God and wait
God promised to give us answers when we pray in the name of Jesus Christ. However, what would happen if we do not take this Jesus Christ into our lives? We continue to lose hold of the covenant in the midst of our interpersonal relationships and work, and all too often, we fall into the culture and are unable to see the existence of God. We must not forget that we are the children of God who have been saved. Just as there is a waiting period between when the farmer sows the seed and then reaps the harvest, the children of God need to hold onto the covenant, pray, and wait for answers.
3. Pray until you come to know the answers that God has given
God knows our situation. When hardships come, meditate on the pulpit message or today''s Word and receive the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Also, God desires for us to believe in Him and wait in prayer. Even when we cannot understand the method of God and even when we find it difficult to hear the Word of God, if we continue to listen to the Word, the moment of answers will come. Because God is living even now, He answers those who pray.
-It is said that the suffering that the children of God experience are blessings. What kind of thoughts do you have in your mind right now? Take your thoughts and begin the conversation of communicating with God.
