Sense of specialty for tomorrow
Haggai 2:1-~9 ‘This is what I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt. And my Spirit remains among you. (#49 in previous version) Humans are social creatures; thus, as soon as we are born we live a life integrated into a specific culture and interact with those around us. There’s not much of a difference simply because we were called as the children of God. In our churches, schools, and workplaces, we meet various people and converse with one another. However we also lose hold of enjoying the Gospel and become oppressed by the stress and burdens of our environment. What do we need from our social life?
1. When it seems like it won’t take place
God has told us beforehand that there will be important times that seem impossible. Realistically speaking, the circumstances cannot be comprehended by our minds and even our standards are lacking. God commanded Noah to construct an ark upon a mountain, instructed Abraham to leave his home, and led the Israelites to gather all of their possessions to build the tabernacle. Like this, God provides us with the Word in critical times.
2. It is not a problem for God
Although it may initially seem impossible, God always fulfills His Word. Even when the Israelites became liberated from slavery and walked the path into the wilderness, God led those who followed His Word into the land of Canaan. The tabernacle seemed like an incredibly heavy burden for those focusing only on the labor, but it was also a life-changing blessing for those who accepted the Word of God. The power of God is hidden within the Word and surpasses our standards. We must discover God’s plan that fills us with what we need in the situations that we are currently encountering.
3. How can I find the plan of God?
When you pray, you can see the plan of God. It is not the prayer that expands our thoughts, but attempt to pray holding on to God’s Word. Quietly contemplate on the pulpit message and today’s Word, for God will give you His answers accordingly. With these answers, you must live the fundamental aspect of your life and make imperative decisions. When these prayers continue to build, your specialty appears and strength of rationality and objectivity is obtained.
